Gatherings this season
Coming soon: The 2024-25 programming season. Make plans to join us!
Most separate. We are determined to gather.
While you stay tuned for more info about this year’s season, check out the programs we have scheduled now, beginning with our season launch film “Undivide Us” on Friday, September 6.
The Village Square is legal this year. We have officially been at our mission to build civic trust between people who don’t look or think alike for as long as it takes for your first born to go off to college. Crazy, right?
Now that we’re legal — and given the current state of politics — it’s likely we’ll need to drink (and possibly heavily). If you cast your vision towards Washington, it’s not really going so well.
But if you look at Tallahassee — where we know each other across differences of color, creed and ideology — we see how our relationship with each other changes everything. We’re increasingly sure that living our lives in the communities where we’re planted (rather than on a poisonous ideological chat thread) changes everything.
People are hard to hate close up.
“Adulthood” doesn’t just come with exciting freedoms, it brings serious responsibilities too, and — as citizens — this is a year we’ll have to rise into them.
In Judaism, the number 18 represents “chai” or life. In the Jewish tradition, gifts in multiples of 18 signifying a gift of life and luck. We’re going to need some luck this year too. If we’re lucky, Americans will have had enough of the isolation, the IV drip of anger, the pitched battles we’re waging against each other.
We’re officially celebrating our 18th birthday this year, and we can’t wait to do it with you.
Stay tuned.
Join or Die: Why You Should Join a Club
It will be in hometowns like this one, between people like us, where a new spirit will take hold — then spread sideways. That means we’d better stop waiting around for someone else to save us.
