Listen to the audio of this program above.

Hometowns with a “sense of place” are vibrant, engaged, growing and economically successful. They are places people want to live and raise families. There are new reasons every day why this describes Tallahassee. So we thought it would be fun to talk about the latest on big new things going on in Tallahassee…new businesses, new restaurants, new ideas, new technology and even what could be new if we made it happen.

Arrive early to treat yourself to food from our local food trucks, Mae’s Southern DelightsCaribbean Crossroads and Smackin Good Wings or bring your favorite take-out and a drink, PLUS enjoy dessert, coffee, and tea (on us) and a series of fast-paced Pecha Kucha – Japanese for “chit-chat” – style presentations (maximum of 20 slides that advance automatically after 20 seconds). You’ll be one of the first in the know about what’s trending. Part civics, part sporting event, WCTV’s The Usual Suspects co-host Gary Yordon will emcee our amped-up zoomy fast sampling of cool, new, smart, fun.

This is the fifth in our Fast Forward series, which is co-sponsored by Knight Creative Communities Institute (KCCI), Leadership Tallahassee, the Tallahassee Democrat, Leon County, and the City of Tallahassee.
