Populace Founder & President to speak on powerful misperceptions driving political divisions
(TALLAHASSEE, FL) – October 3, 2023 – Our current divisions—one American from another—are deep and wide. But what if we are profoundly, completely and tragically wrong about each other? What if it is partly our own mistaken assumptions that are driving the escalating tensions? Dr. Todd Rose, bestselling author of “Dark Horse,” “The End of Average,” and “Collective Illusions says we’ve got each other wrong — making us dangerously mistrustful as a society. Tallahassee residents will have an opportunity to meet Rose when he joins The Village Square as they launch the 17th year of the “Dinner at the Square” series on Tuesday, October 17.
In America’s toxic political climate, we can see how what Rose calls “collective illusions” can become dangerously combustible. On a personal level, these misperceptions keep us from leading happier lives more consistent with our deeply held beliefs. These are some of the conversation points that will be explored by Rose during the upcoming “Dinner at the Square” event.
